The Liberty Square Homeowners’ Association welcomes you to the neighborhood and offers you the following information which we hope will be helpful to you as you settle into your new home. Meetings of the Liberty Square Homeowners’ Association are periodically held at the Liberty Square Clubhouse. You will be notified of dates and times either by newsletter, a special flyer, or by e-mail. We urge you to attend. It’s a great way to meet your neighbors and to become involved in the community.
Protective Covenants
Your realtor should have informed you before you purchased your home, our subdivision is bound by certain protective covenants which are intended to safeguard the enjoyment and value of our individual property and the common areas we share.

Board Members consist of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Architecture Committee Chair, and 2 members at large. The names of the current board are available at http://liberty-square.org/hoa-info/board-of-directors.
Exterior Modifications
For your protection, if you plan any exterior modifications to your home, including but not limited to the construction of a storage building or workshop, erection of a fence, the pouring of concrete driveways or walkways, or even the installation of a basketball goal, you must contact the Board of Directors to submit your plans and have them approved subject to the Protective Covenants referred to above.

Please note that all mailboxes in the subdivision must be identical.
Garbage Pick-Up
Garbage is collected in this neighborhood on Thursdays. You will be issued a special container by the Madison County Sanitation Department @ 256-532-1512 or 256-532-3718/3210 Hi-Lo Circle, Hsv 35811, Fax 256-532-1549. Garbage must be on the curb ready for pick-up by 7:00 a.m. (6:00 a.m. during the months of June, July, and August). Only that trash which is inside the container will be picked up. If you have any questions about containers or pick-up, please call 256-532-3718.
Trash and Large Item Pick-Up
Trash (tree limbs, yard debris, and other bulky items) is picked up on Tuesdays and must be curbside by 6:00 a.m. Questions regarding how these materials must be packaged can be directed to the City of Madison at 256-772-8490. Please note that all large boxes (such as moving crates) must be broken down and tied into bundles before they will be picked up.
Recycling
You are encouraged to place your aluminum cans, newspapers, and plastic containers curbside for recycling. A special blue bin is required for this purpose and may be obtained by contacting the Recycling Alliance of North Alabama. Recyclables are picked up on Third Thursday of the month.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT:
- Must be a resident of the City of Madison or otherwise qualify to attend the Madison City Schools.
- Must be enrolled by parent or legal guardian.
- Must have proof of residence (copy of purchase agreement or lease/rental agreement or deed or current tax receipt.)
- Must have a certificate of immunization (or exemption per Compulsory Immunizations, Alabama Law, 1269)
- To register for kindergarten or first grade, you must have the certified birth certificate. A child must be five (5) on or before September 2nd to enter kindergarten.
- Social Security card is required.
