Position: Fences may extend from the back or sides of the primary residence house up to property lines and minimum building setback lines. Fences shall not extend over or beyond property lines and minimum building setback lines. Fences shall not extend nearer to the street than minimum building setback lines.
Style: Fences shall be shadowbox style made of alternating vertical slats attached to horizontal rails.
Slats: Fence slats shall be of 1”x6”x6’ nominal dimensions, pressure-treated pine wood, or cedar wood, dog-eared on both top corners and otherwise flat on top.
Rails: Fence rails shall be of 2”x4”x8’ nominal dimensions, same wood as slats, three per section.
Posts: Fence posts shall be of 4”x4”x8’ minimum length nominal dimensions, pressure-treated lumbar, flat on top, 8’ maximum between posts center to center, set 2’ minimum in concrete underground.
Nails and Screws: Fence nails and screws shall be galvanized or rust-resistant coated.
Gate Hardware: Fence gate hardware shall be galvanized or otherwise rust-resistant.
Finish: Fences shall be left natural, or stained natural color, or stained cedar color.
